An interesting earlier photo of Tarana taken when both lines were in place; station furniture was evident and some neat trimming of gardens had been done.
Two good and rare photos taken in the signal box showing the yard diagram ... and the safe working instruments.

Later photos of Tarana after the UP main line had been removed. 4201 and possibly 4306 on a down run through Tarana.

THE PHOTOS BELOW ARE FULL SIZE
They were taken during the last steam train run in NSW on the 21st April 1974.

4522 heads the branch line consist and is seen here crossing the Fish River when the river was very high -
a condition that the locals would like to see happen a little more often today.

Not too much change today - the tree has gone but the station sign and the toilet block are still in place.
