Preliminary Work Report - Fettlers Camp - week 9th Aug - 16th Aug 2008

Jenny Cole braved the weather to serve meals from the caravan which is undergoing interior modifications & improvements. The fettlers are preparing a section of track to be used in a level crossing. Peter Culley was the team leader and the crossing preparation task and work area was selected as the safest for the prevailing conditions.

A better day sees the team at work on the Rutters Ridge Road crossing. The section of track constructed above has been hauled in place for the crossing. Oberon Council was a major player in rebuilding the crossing.

OTHR has always received excellent support from Oberon Council & here some Council machinery lowers the rail into place. Rutters Ridge Road crossing - yet to be sealed in this view.
Knockers PLEASE NOTE - the volunteers at OTHR and their supporters now have
FOUR major public level crossings in place and most of the track re-laid in the Oberon to Hazelgrove section.
