Matt McMahon conducts the requisite "Tool Box" briefing to the crews before work commenced. Clearing and preserving remnant trackside infrastructure . Paul Dwyer operates his D4 bulldozer to reprofile the track embankment.

Tom Besant Earthmoving provided this bobcat and Tom is seen at work profiling the embankment. Gaynor & Col Maloney with Peter Culley doing what all good Track Managers do - pointing out what is to be done! Zsuzsanna Handelsmann and Marjorie Webb preparing morning tea for the work gangs.

David Clifton-Smith (short sleeved blue shirt) with Charkes Hazelwood. The Council Grader with Keith Whittaker at the controls made a big contribution to the work force. Clive Payne and John Brotchie (?) doing the "hard stuff" that machines can't get at.

Rotary provided the mechanism for cooking lunch ... ... and Publicity Officer Bob Conners is doing the cooking supervised by Secretary Margaret to the right. A double box culvert which has been cleared and profiled. Many of these are in very good condition.

Another view of the box culvert and embankment shown in photo 15 Kerry Gibbons & Brain Saul provided and drove one of the graders. Tom Besant Earthmoving also provided this mini excavator to go with the bobcat.

Gerrick Hawkins at the controls of the mini excavator from Mayfield. Tim Arnison is on the shovel. The track and yards at Hazelgrove are starting to emerge from the wilderness.  
CREDITS & Sincere thanks to:
  • Gerick Hawkins from the Mayfield property for the loan of a mini excavator from. Colin Maloney a Mayfield employee and long time Oberon resident operated the excavator.
  • Shane Moorhead and daughter Elly operated a crane to remove rail and store it in the station yard ready for clearing.
  • Russell Bailey donated and operated his bobcat to clear the line further on followed by a team with shovels & picks.
  • Andrew Humphries donated his bobcat driven by Peter Culley who covered part of the area where line was removed and removed debris from the loading yards.
  • Mawhoods donated their dingo digger, which was operated by Matt McMahon, and he cleared 20m above Clover Lane .
  • Rural Fire Service: - Members from both the Oberon and Blacksprings Brigades participated. They cleared the station yard area and moved up in the afternoon to Rutters Ridge Road and burn almost all the way down to Clover Lane .
  • Barker's Butchery for the donation of half of the sausages for lunch.
  • Laurie & Ray McMahon & Bob & Margeret Conners for cooking lunch.
